Dec 3, 2017. #7. I'm new to this engine at moment but gathering answers to faults. As to the EGR and loss of power being associated together the answer is yes. If the EGR does not close when powering you are using spent exhaust gas with the oxygen burnt away, mixed with the fuel to try and give max power.
2. Location. Port Elizabeth. Feb 9, 2022. #1. Have rebuilt the engine. Van won't start. Only once I blanked off the fuel return line back to tank did it start and idle beautifully. With open fuel line to tank it won't start.
